All is well...

Jeremy has been doing great since his surgery, already over two weeks ago! The plaster cast came off on Wednesday and was replaced by a fiberglass one. The doctor thought it was looking really good, with only a little swelling and bruising. Jeremy is also getting around a lot better on his crutches and hopping on his left foot, but still no driving.

Ryker is also doing well, but has started to get fussy in the evenings on a fairly regular basis. We are working on ways to keep him happy and entertained to avoid the crying crescendo. He enjoys being sung to, and even when he's crying will often try to join in. The happiest times of the day are when mom changes him and hanging out with dad in the mornings while mom gets ready.

I go back to work on Wednesday and Ryker will start at the KinderCare next door. It seems unreal that it has already been almost 12 weeks since he was born. There was so much I wanted to accomplish during my leave, but found spending time with Ryker was more consuming and rewarding than I had imagined. The idea of missing 8 hours a day terrifies me....
